Matthew Bridger has a wealth of experience in personal injury law. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 1992 and to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the ACT in 1993. Over 30 years of practice has led him to understand the importance of working closely with his clients, listening to them and paying attention to the detail of their problems. Matthew will spend time at the commencement of a matter concentrating on the detail of a client’s problem before recommending solutions or remedies. He has found that avoiding jumping to conclusions before getting a full picture will mean, efficient and cost-effective remedies are not missed. In this way, he has been able to resolve disputes before needing to file in Court. He has also found that, depending on the matter, the client and the opposition, filing in Court is often the best way to secure a quick outcome. He is prepared to run matters where defendants are unreasonable or not prepared to negotiate. He has secured record awards for catastrophically injured clients and has run matters in all ACT and NSW Courts and Tribunals as well as the High Court.
His extensive expertise covers various areas, including motor vehicle accident claims, work injuries, medical negligence, public liability, and total and permanent disability claims. Matthew’s diverse practice also covers wills and estate disputes, and property and commercial litigation. His dedication to achieving the best results for his clients is evident in every case he takes on.
