Laura is an experienced Lawyer, passionate about assisting families through one of life’s most difficult times. Despite being a robust litigator, she is empathetic and passionate about working collaboratively with families to develop creative, but practical, problem-solving strategies to help separated parties move forward with their lives following separation. Laura has extensive experience in dealing with complex parenting matters, representing both parents and other family members where there are matters of abuse, substance misuse, parental alienation, family violence, and mental-health concerns. She has also had experience in complex property issues, including matters involving bankrupt spouses, assets held overseas, and complex superannuation matters. Along with her Family Law experience, Laura has also had experience in Commercial Law so is able to assist clients with property settlements involving large property pools and business structures. Laura holds a Masters degree in Applied Law (Family Law) from the College of Law and is heavily involved in the Women Lawyers Association of the ACT.
